Ever since Mario64, platformers on PlayStation usually don't do it for me. However, Ape Escape is right up there with the best of them.

Pros Monkeys! Uses the Dual Shock to its full extent, graphics, fun, great replay value
Cons May be too kiddy for some, camera sticks sometimes

Lets face it, platformers have gotten tedious. Jump, run, jump run, maybe swim here and there. It's boring. Mario 64 was same old same old, Gex hasn't evolved at all, and Kirby's still a pink marshmallow that inhales enemies. It has gotten boring.

What a great idea for a game. A bunch of apes escape from an amusement park/zoo when a renegade ape becomes an evil genius with the help of a special helmet. Your objective in the game is to catch the apes, and prevent them from changing history.
