The Bottom Line:
A good mask for active men with dry/sensitive skin. Don't let the sticker price scare you - it's a surprisingly good value.
Facial masks have a certain stigma to them. Visions of 'masked' women with cucumbers in the eyes frequently cross the mind. Such recurring thoughts could certainly make a product like this difficult to market. Fortunately, the genius marketers at Anthony Logistics have solved this problem - by adding 'for Men' to the end of their maiden name. Manliness? ...check. Effectiveness? Let's see...
Texture and Packaging
The texture of this product is quite refreshing for a facial mask. The mask comes out as a very smooth and relatively low viscosity cream of peach color. The relatively low viscosity of this mask makes it a much better value; a small amount is easily spread across the face.
The package is typical Anthony Logistics - clear with the facial product visible inside. I've yet to use my entire 4 oz. 'tube' of product, but the tube design doesn't appear to facilitate full extraction of its contents. The cap is a dull grey and does a sufficient job of stopping any potential leaks.
Function
One of the strongest points of this product is really its texture. Although the bottle appears small, the texture allows for thin layers of product to be applied; thus, extending the usable life of a single bottle of the mask.
Typically, this product is kept on the face for 5-10 minutes. I have dry/sensitive skin, and I've found other masks will dry the skin significantly with such a dwell time. The Anthony mask does a great job of not overdrying, but it will overdry the skin if allowed to sit much beyond 10 minutes.
I use this product about one or twice a week in conjunction with a facial wash and scrub. This does a great job of eliminating trace blemishes derived from sweat-clogged pores. My skin usually feels much smoother after an application of this. Note: it is not designed to combat any hormonal zits/pimples, such as those induced by acne.
This product rinses off very easily with warm water; so, there is little need to worry about further overdrying from hot water.
Value
Initial pricing of this appears high in terms of $/oz, but a single tube of this product will last for several months if not overapplied. Some cheaper masks can be had, but I've found that they typically overdry the skin. Money aside, this is one of the few facial masks that has the word "Men" on it - that must be worth something!
Overall, I would call this a quality product for the active (or sweaty) guy who wants to avoid blemishes. It's a good value despite the sticker shock, and it does a good job for those with dry/sensitive skin.
