The Bottom Line:
This game is great fun for everyone.
Animal Crossing has to be one of the best games yet by Nintendo. The actual real life that all the character's portray is such an awesome aspect to the game. I find myself actually checking in a couple of times a day just to keep up with the goings on in the town. The game allows you to write letters, treasure hunt, visit other towns, make and lose friends, fish, expand your house and so much more. The game is very simple and I think that is what makes it so enjoyable. There is really no real concept of this game but to be your little person and make the town lively. You write letters to the people in the town and they send you gifts and show the letters off to other people. There is a store in the town where you sell or by items. The town also has a Police station and a post office. You also celebrate holidays such as Christmas, Halloween and Thanksgiving. You give away candy on halloween and you receive gifts from townspeople on christmas and your birthday. You also run errands for the people to make money.
The game also allows you to use your Game Boy Advance. You use the GBA to travel to distant island and make money with fruit. The GBA is also good for when you receive original Nintendo games from players in the town. It allows you to download the game onto the GBA and play until you turn it off. Games like Pitfall, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr and Tennis.
No matter what time of day it is this land has plenty to do. It surely keeps you busy.
The game itself is fast loading and quick screen to screen affects. The colors are vibrant and change with the time of day and seasons. It snows and it rains, the land slowly gets darker at night and brightens up for the day. Different fish can be caught for different seasons along with different bugs.
I think everyone that owns a game cube should check out this game, no matter how old you are. There are so many options you have for your character in this game. It doesn't take much brain power to play this game it is so simple and fun. I have heard it being compared to SIMS but this game keeps on playing when you shut off the game.
Just watch out though because if you choose to time warp yourself to another date when you come back your town is full of weeds and it takes about an hour to clean it up.
GREAT GREAT GREAT GAME. I love it and so does everyone in my house including my parents.
ENJOY!!!
