Get the humor there? See, it's a play on words... Anyway, this is the best breast pump ever made. I bought this pump in preparation for the coming of my second child. My first, Jacob, is now 20 months old. At about 4 months when we attempted to supplement a formula we discovered that he was sensitive to milk. By the time he was 10 months he was diagnosed as being allergic to milk, soy and wheat. We then chose to stop breast feeding and put him on Nutramigen.
Because of this history of allergies in our family I have made the commitment to feed our newborn daughter nothing but breast milk for a minimum of 6 months. In order to be successful in this goal I new I would need to do a lot of pumping, despite the fact that I am a stay-home mom. With my first child I pumped fairly often using a single electric pump with only one speed and one suction setting. While it did the job at the time, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for be to go back to that now. A DUAL PUMP IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY. Don't deny yourself this luxury.
PROS
This pump is nothing but a long list of pros. It's electric, dual-pumping, and has variable speed and suction settings. It comes with an A/C adapter (to plug into the wall) and can be used with 6 "AA" batteries. I bought the pump with the tote bag, which means that it also came with six 4oz storage bottles and three ice packs that fit in the tote. They will keep expressed milk cold for 10 hours or so. There are also many extras available to be used with the pump. I got a power adapter for my car (fits in the lighter) so that I can use the pump on the road. This is very convenient for long road trips or evenings out when the kids are with a sitter.
CONS
The only thing I can think of that I might list a a con would be that it may take some practice with the settings to get your milk to let down. That would be an issue with any pump though, not just this one. Your chances are certainly better with this one because of the variable settings - you should be able to imitate your baby's sucking pattern very easily after trying for a while.
Final note: I bought my pump from a dealer on Ebay, which I would highly recommend. Find a dealer you feel you can trust (most have a long list of credentials and personal contact information) and buy online - you will save a lot of money. I know I saved at least $50 off the normal retail price, even after shipping and buying the extra car adapter.
