I was contemplating which breast Pump to purchase from Medela. Then, a friend of mine from the La Leche League recommended this Ameda Egnell Purely Yours Breast Pump.
This pump is the best one out there! I used the Medela Breast pump at the hospital, and the Ameda Egnell made such a BIG difference.
First of all, it was cheaper than the Medela. Secondly, the sanitary tubing design is well thought of, because there is no milk dripping back into it. Therefore, avoiding any bacteria growth in the tubing.
There are many adjustments for the suction action, which really helps on those days when you are sore. When adjusted to the suction action YOU chose, it was painless while I pumped. It pumps milk quickly.
It is a small, compact product which doesn't take up that much room on my vanity. It comes apart easily for cleaning. The very first time you use this product, you must sanitize it in boiling water. That is the ONLY time you ever have to boil it. After that, you can wash it in warm soapy water.
