I've tried them all-this one ranks with the best!

Pros Lightweight, adjustable, can run on battery, nice case.
Cons Consult an IBCLC if you need to pump for supply issues.
Recommended it? Yes
I started pumping when my daughter was 10 days old. She had an improper suck and wasn't latching properly which dropped my supply to zilch. We had to supplement from then on and I pumped and pumped and pumped. I originally started with a Medela Classic, which is the absolute top Medela hospital grade pump. I also used the Medela Lactina Select, also a Medela hospital grade pump. Come to find out I have IGT (Insufficient Glandular Tissue) which is a rare problem where you simply don't have enough milk ducts to produce very much milk. So I never produced more than 2oz. anyway, that was found out in hindsight!

Anyway, the pump rental was getting more than I could afford to pay and so I found out my insurance would buy me a pump! They got me this one, the Purely Yours.

I love it. There are so many wonderful features with this pump.

1) The funnel part that fits over the breast is CLEAR. I can see just what's going on and if I'm getting a letdown. The Medela funnels were sort of "milky" (no pun intended) and I had a hard time seeing into the funnel and bottle to see what was happening.

2) the anti-backup system. The Purely Yours has a system to keep milk from backing up into the tubes. The Medela doesn't have this and sometimes you have to clean the tubing.

3) Lightweight! The Purely Yours weighs somewhere around 1-2 lbs. The hospital grade Medela are HEAVY. I think the classic weighs around 20lbs. I loved the Purely Yours because I could carry it anywhere around the house. It also has a car adapter. And the BEST part: It can also run on battery! So you can use it anywhere, such as when you aren't near an outlet or out of country.

4) Adjustability. With this pump you can adjust the strength of the pumping as well as the cycling (speed) This allows you to adjust it to mimic your baby's suckle more precisely, also adjusting to your comfort level.

5) Accessories. This pump comes in a really nice case, but it can be removed from the case and I don't think the Medela PIS can be. The case has cooler compartments and the pump came with lots of extra storage bottles and extra valves.

6) Price. While this wasn't an issue for me since my insurance co. paid for it, I have seen it online for around $160 (check out mothersnature.com auctions I see them there alot)

I think that covers it all! I was pleased with this pump and got just as good results as with any of the other pumps I used (also inc. the Medela manual pump and the Mini Electric)

I no longer pump since my daughter is weaned but this pump is staying in my closet for baby #2! I will have to pump from birth to try and get my supply up enough to overcome my IGT problem in not to exclusively breastfeed than at least to supplement as little as possible.

Disclaimer: If you have serious nursing issues PLEASE consult with an IBCLC (CERTIFIED Lactation Consultant) It's IMPERATIVE to assess you and your baby before bad habits are formed and your nursing relationship is permanently damaged.

However, if you are just looking to pump if you work or for babysitters/dads etc. then I HIGHLY recommend this pump!
