In our house, we always joke about pumping milk is like milking a cow, but we joke alot in our house.
I love my Purely Yours Dual Electric Pump for many reasons. I love the fact that I can save time by pumping both breasts at once. But if I only need one pumped, I can adapt it for that also with no problems.
It comes with a stylish tote bag that holds it all with compartments for the filled and empty bottles. It also comes with 3 ice packs that fit in slots in the storage compartment. The iced storage compartment holds 6 four ounce bottles (included).
The pump itself is in the top compartment, which can be used while in the tote or removed and placed on a flat surface. Included is an AC power adapter for plugging into the wall, but it also works on 6 AA batteries, or with a car adapter (not included).

The Ameda Purely Your Dual Electric Breastpump has two adjustable settings, the cycle and the vacuum.

The Cycle Dial
This dial controls the speed. It recommends to start at a medium setting and adjust it to a lower setting once the milk begins to flow.

The Vacuum Dial
This dial controls the suction strength. This one is recommended to start on low and increase to a comfortable setting once the milk starts to flow.

I usually set both dials on 2/3's of the way up and leave them there. Each person is different, as each baby is different, so you will need to find settings that are right for you.

The base of the pump also has bottle holders so you don't have to worry about the milk tipping while you are getting yourself back together.

All parts need to be cleaned after use. They are very easy to clean also.

Milk Storage and Thawing Guidelines

** Storage **
Refrigerated = use within 8 days then freeze or discard
Side-by Side & Top/Bottom Frozen = three to four months
Deep Frozen = 6 months or longer

** Thawing **
Run cool water over the bottle, adding warmer water as the milk thaws. Shake before serving.
