The Purely Yours was my FOURTH breast pump. After much research, I thought it was going to be THE pump for me... you know a miracle worker, allowing me to pump just the right amount or more for Lauren every day. Boy was I wrong!

When I bought the pump from an online store, they said it was better than the Pump In Style, perfect for anyone. Well, I bought it and it just didn't work for me. The pump was fine, I just, like many women, don't pump well and should have had a different pump.

When I say don't pump well, I mean I am terrible! I was lucky to get (yes, with a double electric) three ounces in thirty minutes. I pumped while Lauren nursed in the morning and evenings, four fifteen-minute sessions at work, and on the way to and from work in the car with an Avent Isis manual pump (thank God that my SAAB was so low so no one saw me!)... and I still barely kept up with Lauren.

Not only that, but I spent a whopping $195 for a pump that I couldn't afford and was unable to return. I was very upset at the people I purchased from. I thought if they were retailing, it was their job to sell it correctly, but I was wrong!

So, before you buy this pump, you should know who it is intended for. This IS A GREAT PUMP if you are the right person to use it. If you are, then you probably (one or more of the following):
* PUMP WELL
* Have an older, less-demanding nursling
* Aren't using this pump to maintain your supply
* Don't mind supplementing
* Aren't separated full time
* Have access to your infant to nurse during separation

Also, I would like to make sure every woman knows about PRICING. If you are looking for the Purely Yours with Tote, if you pay more than $175 (with shipping included) you are paying TOO MUCH. There are several retailers that will sell it for $175 and less.

AND, before you buy a breast pump from someone, make sure they are educated in what they are doing and know about the pump you are buying. Ask a ton of questions if you have them!
