Amcor MF8000E Air Conditioner

I purchased my unit at Circuit City on SALE for $279.99... (out the door for $300 and change) Unit is compact but heavy, standing approx 30 inches high 12" deep and 12" wide and weighing in at about 50lbs. The exhaust hose is made of sturdy plastic collapsible flex tube (think dryer vent hose) and comes with a reducer that fits into the window slider that's about 3"-3.5" wide. The exhaust slider is adjustable and will fit tall windows if mounting vertically, as was our case. Installation took all of five minutes. Unit blows cold air pretty quickly and although it's not terribly loud, it's noticeable. Not as loud as one of those big window box fans, but it is considerably louder than a tower fan set on high. If you've ever stayed in a hotel room with the AC running, it puts out about the same level of noise as a hotel AC unit. You can still hear the TV and hold a conversation, so it's not a deal breaker.
