The Bottom Line:
For the cost this is a good value.
We just completed a kitchen remodel and had to replace our over the stove microwave that we loved. We had very limited space to put the microwave and so we were looking for a compact counter model that would still do a good job. This model cannot compete with our old microwave but it does do the job and it cost a whole lot less than our old microwave. The power is enough to cook things in the time that is given on a package and the popcorn setting works okay (doesn't quite pop all the kernels). It doesn't have a setting for beverages but does have settings for melting butter and heating snack foods (something we don't do but families with kids will probably appreciate these settings).
There are a couple of things I really don't like about this microwave. Everytime the power goes off we have to reset all the global settings. Our old microwave just lost the time setting. The microwave is very light weight so everytime you press the door button the microwave moves, also very annoying. Lastly it does not have a warm hold setting to keep food warm without drying it out. This microwave will work well for most families and won't cost them a lot of money.
