The FEEL of the ACS295
Pros
Great sound!
Cons
Cost a little high for those who don't need them
Recommended it?
Yes
When I first bought my computer, I wasn't sure if I should get the more expensive, subwoofer equipped, speakers or the cheaper, more cost efficent speakers that usually come stock with it. After much debate, I finally chose the Altec Landseng ACS295. I have since then thrown away the box and owners manual, so I am not sure of what exactly makes up the complete system. What I do know is that it comes with two great sounding satellite speakers and a powered 6" subwoofer. Right now, when I think back, its a good thing that I purchased these speakers, because after hearing them work, I would have thrown away those trashey sounding factory ones.
I have over 400 MP3 songs on my hard drive and it would be a shame to not let those songs scream out when they want to. You don't need any special programs or software, just regular, old Winamp will do the trick. When playing songs or .wav format sound files, you can adjust the treble and bass with ease from the right satellite speaker. You can also mess with the equalizer settings in Winamp to achieve the perfect settings. When everything is adjusted according to your style of music, the Altec ACS295's sound absolutely great from the highs of classical, to the bass dropping lows of rap and R&B.
This speaker system is also a great addition to your PC if you are an avid gamer of any kind. I used to play games all the time and have lots of fun before I bought the ACS295's. But now, after I have had the multimedia experience they offer, I would never be able to play games like that again without the ACS295's. When playing a racing game, the roar of the engine will shake the room, and you will feel the crashes. In a fighting game, you will fell the hits. Overall, the ACS295's will bring you into the game like never before experienced without a powered subwoofer.
These speakers are a "must have" and i would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to experience the true capabilities of your computer's sound.
