Great Computer Speakers
Pros
Great Sound, Easy to Use, Relatively Inexpensive
Cons
Cable Clutter common with all multi-piece speakers
Recommended it?
Yes
This product really works well with my computer system. It provides an excellent frequency response range and can go to relatively high volumes with little distortion. The digital control on the top of one of speaker is reasonably convenient. As with all multiple piece speaker systems, the user must daisy chain all the components together. However, despite the mess of cables, the sound quality is excellent and Altec Lansing offers a great deal for the money. As an experiment, I decided to crank up my MP3 player as loud as I could go without experiencing distortion. Within the room where I had my computer, the sound was deafeningly loud and still of high quality before I began experiencing problems.
The amount of sound the little cube speakers put out is phenomenal (reminds me of Bose cube speakers). I would recommend these speakers to anyone putting together a system or needing a nice set of speakers. If you are an audiophile looking for the greatest set of speakers money can buy, these are good, but you might want to look for something in a bit higher price range. For most users, I believe these speakers will suffice.
