A bit bulky but works better than others I have tried

Pros Cleans a lot of air, easy to maintain, no clean air drafts created, quiet
Cons Filters last 6 months & pricey. Only 3 settings on the fan
Recommended it? Yes
I have to admit I was a bit overwhelmed with all the seemingly conflicting reports of which air filter was best. I had it down to two units, the BlueAir 601 or the Friedrich 90b. I was concerned about ozone emission with the Friedrich, leading me to BlueAir. The BlueAir itself is large in size, but surprisingly not unsightly. It has smooth clean lines and blends in somewhat to the interior of the room. The other really nice thing is there is no draft of air off of it until you fire it up to the highest setting and even then its pretty diffuse. It is quiet on 2 of the 3 settings, with hepaSilent setting so quiet your not sure its running. The filters are easy to remove/replace. The unit seems well built of steel, a nice change from plastic and since it carries a 10 year warranty inspires durability. It is on rollers so its easy to move around, even on carpet. One very small complaint is to be vacuum the air inlets. I noticed a fair amount of dust build up on the outside inlets which are at the bottom sides of the machine. Great machine!
