Not Totally Bad, But not really good either.
Pros
Lot's of Features, Easy to use.
Cons
Horrible Pictures, battery life, Useless LCD Screen outside, Small Lens, Shutter Lag, Not durable.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Do not but it. Feature set is nice, but the rest is bad.
We brought our Aiptek DV4500 digital camera around December
of last year. We paid about $99.00 bucks for it in target.
Boy are we sorry. :(
First the DV4500 is a 4 Mega Pixel camera. But you guys are
right, it take pictures like a 2 MP camera. First pictures
in the house where totally useless, all dark and needed
heavy Photoshop work. Out side the camera faired much better,
but they still needed color correcting. Then to
top it off all of the photos taken with ours had these
horrible red spots all over our faces.
But this is not the end, Out side you can't see the LCD
if the sun is out and inside the camera can never seem
to get enough light through its small lens to produce any-
thing more than a black LCD and no idea what you are
looking at.
Oh, but wait there is more.
After using this Aiptek DV4500 for about 4 months lightly,
It is now broken. The power button has lost it's spring
and now sits down inside the camera wiggling around.
Also the screen has started to not come on at all unless
you tap it. Can you say RMA.....
But on the better side, this Camera does have some cool
features. I wish my new camera had some of it's abilities.
But I would rather have a Digital Camera that takes good
pictures, then one that plays MP3's anyway.
