Most bang for the buck

Pros small, IS, 30fps, SDcard, $97, sooooo practical, take back to Target if broken
Cons durrability worry, bad low light camera, not dvd quality
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If it really sucks which it doesn't or if it breaks you can take it back to Target.
I look for gadgets that give the most quality for the littlest price and then use them to their potential.

I have only had this camera for 2 days. It feels flimsy, plastic, toy like. I'm afraid it won't last real long but I didn't think my Pocket PC e310 would last me the past 3 years (and still going) either. So I'm hopeful. The data ports and SD card slot are covered simply by rubber covers I kind of hope don't deteriorate very much with use. But boy it is small and easy to carry around.

All of the directions for use have been very easy to use (of course to be honest I probably didn't need them as much as I did read them). You can configure the camera to read like an external USB storage device which means you don't need any of the special software you get to manage your pictures. Just pick them up and drop them where you want. The software seems useful but I have not had occasion to use that very much yet. It has a joystick controller that is very easy to use and you push it straight in to select something on the menus. The menus are designed much like cell phone menus making them very user friendly. I just scrolled through each one and they were very self explanatory.

The pictures look pretty good outdoors as well as with the flash. The flash delays so don't expect catch a quick pic with the flash. I had some pretty good redeye in them too.

Movies are fun. I liked them. I could tell what things were easily and read license numbers of cars on the road. This thing is so easy to have handy when you want to remember a moment. No the videos are not camcorder quality. But you would have to spend at least 3 times the price of this and double the size for that kind of quality.

Low light=> forget it! Worthless in pictures and movies. Turn on a lot more lights!

Battery is a standard lithium ion type that you can buy more of for less than $20.

**This is an emerging technology especially in the US so the reliability is highly suspect but since I could return it to my local Target it makes this one much more appealing!

So cheap = I got mine for $97 at Target and 1Gig SD at Sams for $75 -> Tigerdirect has one for $65 with rebate

I like this camera ($97) because it fits on my belt next to my cell phone (free with service), above my pocket pc ($150) in my right pocket, my wallet in my back ($0), and my keys in my left. (all these gadgets for under $375 with transferable SD cards)
