The Bottom Line:
This is doubt one of the most stunning, realistic strategy games ever to come out of Microsoft, or anywhere else.
Sequels are rarely passed by, mostly because of curiosity. This amazing sequel should not be passed by because of necessity. Necessity to enjoy a superbly designed game.
Age of Empires II combines the simple gaming style of its predecessor, and adds innovative new concepts. One of these is the ability to queue in more then one unit to be produced at one time. The units can then by garrisoned inside the building where they were produced, appear outside of the building, or travel to a preindicated gathering point. Another new feature is formations. There are four formations that you are able to choose from. Select 2-40 units and choose the following formations: tight, shattered (to minimized spread damage by capaults), protective (weaker units boxed in by stronger ones, weakest in the center), and flanking (groups slits into two smaller groups far from each other in an attempt to flank the enemy).
Onless you are not a fan of stategy games, i strongly suggest checking this game out.
