The Age of Kings
Pros
real time strategy, more troop control
Cons
campaign editor is difficult to use
Recommended it?
Yes
In the way of the ever so popular Real Time Strategy games comes "The Age of Empires II, The Age of Kings." Another take on the WarCraft (an old blizzard game) and on Command and Conquer (an older WestWood Studios game). The point of Age of Empires II? to Rule a kingdom, advance your technology, build an army and a strong economy.....all while not getting completely obliterated by up to 7 other opponents who are all doing their best to make sure that they, not you, rule the "world".
This is all accomplished with the help of another small army of peasant workers who work tirelessly to gather resources, and build buildings, walls and other economic and defensive structures.
The final word on this, its a really good game, and if i could figure out how to place resources on the campaign editor, could equal starcraft as far as an all out war game goes. But still a really good game, and to boot, the tutorial features some really cool Scottish dialog (that is, if you go for that sort of thing)
