Empire II: Age of Kings: This Is MY Kind of Kingdom!

Pros Great Graphics, Strategic Game Play
Cons Takes A While To Get Started
Recommended it? Yes
This game kicks! Especially if you have an entire afternoon to spend on the computer and no chores to do around the house. You can choose from many different Medieval civilizations, campaigns, maps, including: Baltic maps, Black Forest maps, Gold Rush maps, etc. There are many different units to choose from including: Paladins, Champions, Cross Bowmen, Skirmishers, etc. My favorite unit is the Teutonic Knight, descended from the Teutons who went into Asia to further the spread of Christianity who were the early Crusaders. See what I learned from a computer game?

Historically this game is accurate in that it portrays warriors, people, names of heroic people like William Wallace, Joan of Arc, King Arthur and not-so-heroic people like Ghangas Khan, Eric the Red and The Black Prince. The funnest part of this game is the ability to re-write history according to your own desires. It is your kingdom and you are the king. Have fun pillaging and plundering, boosting your economy, increasing your population, and conquering the world. Sounds a little bit like reality, doesn't it?

Note: Check out these cheats: Enter "Marco" to eliminate fog. Enter "Polo" and it shows you the entire map and panorama. Enter "how do you turn this on" and you get two Shelby Cobras complete with machine guns to fire at all enemies, which actually looks pretty funny, but it takes out quite a few guys at a time--you know--the plundering and pillaging part. Enter "robin hood" and you get 1,000 in gold. Enter "cheese steak jimmy's" and you get 1,000 in food. Enter "rock on" for you got it, 1,000 in rocks, and "lumber jack" will give you....hmmm, could it be? Yes, 1,000 in wood. However you decide to play the game, with or without cheats, have a good time but don't get too carried away, especially if your wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend, kids or pets (same thing) need more of your undivided attention. Remember, it's only a game....repeat that to yourself over and over until you can convince yourself that the world just isn't yours to command.......or is it???????
