My childhood favorite movie still holds up pretty well.

Pros Funny adventure film for kids.
Cons Still a kids movie, not usually my thing.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:

This was my favorite movie when I was a kid, and even now it retains a good degree of entertainment value.

A small orange kitten named Milo has a talent for mischief and a penchant for calamity. He appears to be in over his head when he wanders into a box that is in turn cut loose into the river. His best friend, a scrappy pug puppy by the name of Otis, follows the box down the river, intent on saving his friend. As the title suggests, adventures ensue for both critters as they each try to make it back to the farm they call home.

This was one of my favorite movies as a child, and as a kids movie from that era, I think it still holds up pretty well. I’ve watched it with a couple of my friends’ kids (this is one of a handful of kid-oriented movies I have a copy of), and while neither of them loved it the way I did at their age, both enjoyed it. I’m told this isn’t always the case when their parents show them their childhood favorites. I guess this is understandable for kids spending their early years in the era of CGI and 3-D.
Better still, the movie’s story is entertaining enough that all but the most straight-laced of adults should be kept reasonably entertained, even those without a nostalgic affection for it. As someone who is frequently bored out of my mind by movies and television aimed at children (save for a few similarly nostalgic exceptions), the statement that a movie of this kind can keep me entertained is pretty high praise.
