A video editing DYNAMO!
Pros
It's the best, most user friendly video editor on the market.
Cons
The Windows version seems to have some bugs in the system, and it's fairly expensive.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
It's a little bit pricey, but well worth every penny due to it's user friendly GUI and amazing video editing capabilities.
I used to use Premiere Pro CS3 daily in High School to edit football games and the Senior video, and Adobe Premiere CS4 is a MONUMENTAL improvement to CS3. Adobe went with a darker color scheme for the GUI on CS4, and I've found it makes the editing process much easier because it's a lot more gentle on the eyes. Since I've used it with my Mac I've had no problems. The new features help a lot for large movie projects. The organization of files is the same, but you can search for files based on the dialog in the video clip. All you have to do is type in the word your looking for and it brings up the clip that contains that dialog. It's pretty amazing. The only problems I've had with it is the Windows version, and the fact that it's so expensive. The Mac version is perfect. I noticed with the Windows version that it will lock up if your project exceeds a certain point, and your video will be very glitchy. At least, that was my experience with the WINDOWS version. If your looking to quickly and accurately edit video or audio for any type of project, I'd definitely recommend Adobe Premiere CS4. Hopefully in the future Adobe will release a version that is a little more cost effective.
