Adidas Superstar 2G - Lasts 2 to 3 x Longer Than Nike
Pros
Well made shoes. Easy care. Inexpensive.
Cons
Nothing fancy about them - which is fine.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
Save money and get more wear with Adidas brand tennis shoes.
My son is very active and enjoys basketball. He plays both at the gym and driveway b-ball, so his tennis shoes take a real beating.
Adidas is a brand that was popular when I was coming up, and I wore them often, but most of the kids around went with Nike. So, my son wore Nike for a while.
At best, he got 3 months of wear out of Nike tennis shoes. Since he doesn't like breaking in new tennis shoes, he picked a couple of other brands including the Adidas Superstar 2G for Basketball.
The Adidas Superstar is the basic Adidas with blue trim rather than the classic green (although he did find green once and got a pair). It's a leather shoe and easy to keep clean versus many of the new tennis shoes with mesh that looks like crud after a week or so.
No. I don't wear them. But, since my son has bought these 3 or 4 times straight with no complaints, they work well for him.
I'm glad my son is picking Adidas now, because they cost way less than Nike tennis shoes, and the Adidas generally last 9 months or in that range versus the Nike tennis shoes that fall apart much faster.
