The Bottom Line: Great shoes, medium price, lightweight and perfect for casual occasions and spectacular on the field. Definitely recommend these shoes for kids, teens and even adults.

The Adidas Sambas, are marvelous shoes to play soccer on turf, grass or indoors. I bought these shoes from Zappos.com (they ship in only a day) and wore them for eight months straight, that's when the problems began. Although, I'll start with the pros. I love these shoes because they were classics (with the traditional three large stripes) and I could wear them any where at any time. They are in style, yet I can wear them to play soccer and the classes the next day. I know, I can be a bit picky about the shoes I wear to different occasions, but these shoes aided me in my pickle of which shoes to wear. I wore them on the soccer field yet also to parties, in summary they are stylish shoes yet are also These shoes are made of leather making them super light (good for running, especially sprinting) and the sole is made of a hard plastic which has small grooves for traction. I play as a striker on my soccer team and although I didn't wear them to practice, I would wear them during inter murals or when I was juggling a ball with my colleagues during lunch. I could wear them anywhere at any time, and be prepared to play soccer at a moments notice. They're extremely good for long range shots, yet capable of dribbling through three or four people and entering the goalie box to tap the ball in. These are fantastic casual yet also soccer shoes to wear anywhere. Compared to other shoes, I've had more comfortable yet less comfortable shoes before. Although if you are primarily wearing them to play soccer, comfortability is important, but less of a priority. In a few words, "Brilliant shoes".I'm not praising these shoes only because I'm an Adidas man, because I truly enjoyed wearing these shoes while they lasted. While they lasted. This was my biggest issue with these shoes. I ripped a whole right through the area of my big toe. Right through the leather. I could see my bare toe through the hole the size of a golf ball. I wore them continuously for eight months, yet it surprised me that my big toe would poke through the leather. Anyways, these are fantastic shoes and are one of the best shoes on the market for only $50. Great shoes that are well worth around $50 for shoes a year.
