Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for Windows

Call of Duty 4 comes in as a nice replacement to the original WWII shooter genre, it is fast paced and very much like a war game should be. When in-game cover is one thing you will not find too often but when you do it won't last you forever, being smart and thinking in Call of Duty is actually important. Playing single player will take some patience and "skill" there are the oh so unforgettable moments of screaming at the monitor but the close to reality effects make up for it. After finishing single-player the game is half finished, multi-player is where the entire core of the game is at. There are well over 150,000 servers up and running 24/7 and 7 days a week to keep any Call of Duty 4 junkie entertained. It is a fast paced game which can get to the point of some saying "OK no more COD4... for now." If used to the old-school Call of Duty 2, do not fear for not all is lost, although the fourth installment has lost its Nazis, Communists and Capitalists there are mod kits circulating the computers of skilled COD modders who shall make some well deserved adjustments, such as larger maps and maybe just maybe a remake of Carentan. All in all Call of Duty 4 is a good pick me up or not let me down type of game. 9.9/10 would be my score because we all know there is no such thing as perfect.
