Cons Campaign length

The Bottom Line:  I would recommend this game to anyone that is of the Mature audience. This is a gaming milestone.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is my favorite game of all time, i bought it when it first came out and was blown away by the graphics and sound. The graphic detail of this game on a full HD tv is extremely pleasing to the eye. everything has been created with such care and insight that everything going on around you seems like reality. The sound in this game is the best I have ever heard. On a surround sound system it makes you feel like your living through an actual middle-eastern conflict. Every shot and explosion sounds as real as it could be. Although the campaign was a little short it didn't lack diversity. Each mission you play through throws new challenges at you and tests your skills. Some of these challenges include a mission called, " Death from Above," where, instead of being on the ground facing your enemy eye to eye like in most missions your operating an offensive airplane and giving the ground troops support but hitting the enemy with a large bomb, medium bomb, and a run of the mill machine gun. They also throw corks your way by switching up certain moments to slow motion which gives the moment a certain epic feeling. Also there is a mission where your defending yourself in the back of a truck as other vehicles pursue frantically chase your from behind.

There is 4 difficulty modes and even items of intel you have to collect throughout all the levels to lengthen the campaign even more. This intel isn't just for kicks and giggles though, as you gather more and more you will be rewarded with different cheats that are able to be toggled on and off in mid gameplay. There are a few cheats that let you change the visual appearance of the game, such as changing it toblack and white, or super contrast. Your are even able to mix and match these visual changes for some really interesting effects. There is also the unlimited ammo cheat which does some abnormal things to certain weapons. It makes the RPG into a rocket launching machine gun that gives the game an interesting twist.

But the real fun of CoD:MW is in the online multiplayer, you can battle in over a dozen different maps with as many as 17 other people all battling to raise up from a low ranked officer, also letting you work your way to better equipment. There is no shortage of competition in the multiplayer games, there are a couple dozen different modes of gameplay which will let you decide what sort of playing experience you want. You can play Team Deathmatch which is an averagely paced game that allows you to fight on a team which will fight to kill the next team.  There is Search and Destroy where it is a slower more intense game where death could mean a couple minute wait until you get back in but a kill counts for 5x as many points as a kill in Team Deathmatch. There are many more games such as Domination where you and your teammates try to control three flags as the other team tries to control them also. Headquarters is a game where a point will be placed on the map and its a race to get there and control it for as long as your team can survive. There being many games you can see that I won't describe them all but you can recognize how diverse the gameplay is with all the different game types you can choose from. All of these components make this arguably the best XBox 360 game to date. The only problem is trying to find time in the day to do anything else.
