Pros Reliable, rugged, both Firewire and USB2.0, easy to change drives.
Cons No shock-reduction mounting. No "one-button" backup features. Heavier than...

I have 8 different external HD cases and this is my favorite. I went back and bought 5 more identical units. I leave 1 power supply & cable at each PC station, and move the drives among the stations as needed. Metal case for durability and heat dissipation. No fan to wear out or make noise... Pros Fire-wire 400 and USB 2.0 solid construction.

Recommended it? Yes

It's hard to get excited about a Hard disk drive enclosure. But if you get stuck with a poorly designed one you'll know why this one excels.
