The Bottom Line:
These scissors are worth every penny. Highly recommend!
My 6 year old daughter is an arts and crafts addict who was often frustrated with the cheaply made, easily broken, dull kid's scissors I normally bought her. I have had great experiences with my adult titanium scissors so I bought a pair of Acme Wescott Titanium Scissors in a kid's size for her for $15. I was very hesitant to spend that kind of money on kid's scissors, but I am very happy I did!
The Acme Titanium Scissors are well made and very durable. They come with a one year warranty. Titanium scissors are 3 times stronger than stainless steel ones which is perfect for my daughter loves to cut a variety of things, including difficult items like crayons. The scissors also do an excellent job of cutting thin items such as paper. The scissors have remained sharp despite lots of use over the last 6 months. Since the scissors are made out of titanium, they are also very lightweight.
The scissors are available in both blunt and pointed tips. I purchased the pointed tips.
The scissors come with soft grip handles which makes it very comfortable for her to use, even for long periods. She doesn't get any pressure marks like she did from using plastic scissors. The handles accomodate both right and left handed users.
As an adult, I know the pleasure of having a nice pair of scissors. It makes me happy to see my daughter enjoy using her titanium ones. She uses regular scissors in her kindergarten class and often complains about how they work compared to hers.
I also like how durable these scissors are and how long they last. I would pay around $3 dollars for a cheap, plastic pair of scissors and have to replace them within a month or so. These more expensive Titanium Scissors are cheaper in the long run for they last for a long period of time.
We have had such a great experience with these scissors that I have often included them in birthday gifts to my daughter's friends. All of the parents have remarked on how wonderful the scissors work.
I am happy to highly recommend Acme Titanium Scissors for kids!
