I can't find enough stuff to scan!
About six months ago my parents bought me my scanner as an extra happy for doing well in college. I really did not use it all that much until recently when I took one of my Graphic Design classes. Now that I have had the opportunity to tinker with it I have to say I wish I had started earlier. Not... Read full review »
Acerscan 320U: Great scanner BUT....
This scanner was an incredible steal for the $30-after-rebate that I got it for. I scoff at the opinions I have read in PC magazines that characterize the Acerscan 320U as nothing more than a "bargain bin scanner" or "a good buy for the kids", etc.
It can scan at DPI's far higher than I...

Idiot Proof Scanner for $30
When I went to buy a scanner, I wanted something that would scan my items for eBay, for a reasonable price, and that was easy to use.
My son said that I should get a scanner with USB, and while he was visiting this spring, we found the Acer 320U scanner on sale for $29.99 after rebate. The...

At $30, an unbeliveable deal
I bought the Acer 320U scanner about 4 months ago from Office Max.com. With the rebate, I paid about $30 for this scanner. For that price, it is really hard to go wrong, but the Acer 320U has proven to be better than expected and is certainly no "bargain bin" product.
I use this product...

Once you figure out the software....
Once you figure out the software, this is a simple, foolproof scanner for the home user. It is not particularly fast, but unless you are scanning on a regular basis, who cares.
For me, scanning pictures now and then, it works just fine. (My picture on my epinions home page was scanned with the...

All most people will need in a scanner
The resolution of a web page is only 72 DPI. Therefore, why buy a scanner with a resolution of 1200 DPI if you are mostly scanning things for a web page?
That question is really one of the deciding factors on whether you will like this scanner. I use three basic criteria when evaluating...

Scanner, easy to use
The Acer 320U series scanner is a very easy piece of equipment to install and use. This is a great buy for anyone who is limited experience with scanners.
The basic functionality comes quickly to anyone willing to spend a few minutes trying their first scan. The scans are quick and you are...

Reliable, Inexpensive Scanner
I took a chance on one of those 8-10 week rebates that plague the computer industry. I am very glad I did. I already had a parallel port scanner from Mustek. It worked fine but it was slow and froze the computer until the scan was done. That $120.00 scanner has been replace with a $30.00 (after... Read full review »
Outperforms our Scanjet handily!
Purchased largely because of Acer's $40 rebate on the then-$89 scanner, I was amazed at the quality of the scanner AND its terrific interface program, Mirascan.
Shortly after I purchased this little gem for home use, my cheapskate boss bought us a Scanjet by H-P with a document feeder and...

Wish I Hadn't
I bought this cheap scanner to do Optical Character Recognition (O.C.R.).
It came with a scanner driver called "MiraScan 3.20" and an OCR software package called "Textbridge Classic 2.0." The installed setup worked
well doing OCR for exactly 3 months. Then, I started getting an error...
