when we were in the market for a scanner we looked at about 10. we didn't need a very expensive scanner just one for the novice (i didn't even know what they were to be used for), but since everyone i knew had one, i wanted one too.
the salesman showed us scanner's that were extremely expensive and some that were reasonably priced. we opted for a demonstration on the "reasonably" priced ones. they were all very nice and had good picture quality. i wanted one that was easy to use (since i didn't know what i was going to do with it anyway). we narrowed it down to two and i asked if i could try them.
the acer 320u was so very easy to use and the quality of the documents that was produced was extremely good. i had my 10 year old grandson with me and he tried it and loved it. well the price was right and we bought it, and i have very happy with it since. i would recommend this to even the expert users.
