I purchased the calculator at my school's urging. It takes a student through calculus, accounting, statistics and finance with ease. The instructions are thorough and easy to understand, and the calculator is well made and easy to operate.
When I bought a car, the calculator came along. Quickly calculating total prices when agents are throwing around monthly payments helped me be a much better negotiator. I even intimidated sales people when I could do it faster than the "sales manager". It stops slimy sales tactics cold!
In addition to classes and cars, house payments can also be simply amortized using this great calculator.
It does take three batteries, so you'll need to buy two packs of two - and if you're like me, promptly lose the 4th. There is no solar backup on the HP 10B.
All said, this is the best calculator I have ever used.
