Pros quality over quantity, great tracks, interesting material, ELO's best balance...
Cons This music is three decades old (If that matters to the Barney generation).
Recommended it? Yes

This is a great album, quite possibly the best one ELO ever made. It doesn't have the sheer hit count of its successor, "Out of the Blue," but that was a double LP. For a collection of 9 songs, "A New World Record" is an amazing tribute to "quality over quantity."
