Great Performer, but a couple of got'chas

After a extremely long and tedious installation process, I finally got the AV8 working. In getting things to work, I encountered one DOA board, a second that would only work sometimes (but this could have been memory) and a board that would not work with Corsair TwinX PC3200 memory. Replacing the memory solved that problem, but my dealer did test the memory on another MB and it worked OK there.
A couple of problems still haunt me: 1) I can't get it to recognize a Aopen PM56-FX modem; 2) sometimes the KB and Mouse won't come up when I'm using my USB KB and mouse; it works fine with PS2-style-connected KB and mouse, though.
The good news is performance. This thing is FAST. Coupled with an AMD 939 3500+, I cut a type video mpeg encoding process from 6-8 hours on my old motherboard (Athlon XP2400+) to 1-2 hours. And once I got it going, it appears that it's going to be relatively stable.
I recommend it, but only with the knowledge that you really need to be very computer literate to install and take best advantage of this motherboard.
