descent all around, but incompatible with AMD K6, poor TV quality

byyoyofella Dec 16, 2000

Pros Does it all, good 3D acceleration
Cons Does it all poorly, driver problem, unstable with K6 family processor.
Recommended it? Yes

Prior to purchasing the All-In-Wonder Radeon card, my intention was to replace the TV-Tuner/capture card (Xtreme), the DVD decoder card (Cinemaster), and my 3d acceleration card (Creative Lab's Riva TNT). By virtue of having all these different multimedia cards, I have been quite in tuned with this... Read full review »

Still Waiting For Drivers

Pros Fast, many hardware and software features
Cons Frequent locking(KT133) disfunctional software
Recommended it? No

The thought of a single video card with a DVD/MPEG decoder, TV tuner and a software package with the exact features I wanted was too hard to turn down. The All-in-Wonder Radeon would provide me with lightning fast graphics for games which I had never before possessed. It would allow me a simple... Read full review »

Something "snapped" at ATI last year...
My guess, is that ATI, tired of having their $85 4X AGP (40 FPS Quake III) boards get trounced by 3DFX and Nvidia, decided to get busy and deal out a nice little "reality check" to Nvidia. They haven't quite beaten them like red-headed step-children, but... Read full review »

Pros image quality, 3d acceleration, flexibility
Cons drivers, customer service
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the product for my Windows machine for running games. It was bought at the same time as the Abit KT7-RAID motherboard and the AMD Thunderbird 850 processor (as recommended by Anandtech's web site).

My intention was to use the 3D acceleration for games and occasional TV & DVD... Read full review »

My brother and I wanted another TV so we decided to buy the ATI All-in-Wonder card to transform my computer in to a TV. We first decided to buy this specific card because I saw the many functions it had from my friend. He has it connected in his dorm and it seemed perfect because he can watch TV,... Pros Incredible functionality, TV and Digital VCR featues, one mean 3D chip, and excellent...
Cons A tad pricey, Multimedia Center could be more tweakable.
Recommended it? Yes

The ATI All-In-Wonder represents ATI's crowning achievement in the All-In-Wonder series. The features are almost too numerous to count.
First, we have the basic TV viewing application, powered by nicely refined drivers (Available for Windows 2000 Pro as well as 98 and ME), and the versatile ATI... Read full review »

Pros Complete Integrated Video Powerhouse with Awesome 3D
Cons GeForce 2 Ultra Looming

I have always been a fan of the All-In-Wonder series since my old AIW-Pro. The ability to watch TV and capture video have always fascinated those of us who want to push the PC's multimedia capabilities. This is especially important in tight spots like a dorm room, where I didn't have room for a... Read full review »

Pros Great gaming as well as TV, DVD, and DVI support
Cons ATI's spotty driver history, GeForce2 Ultra faster in games
Recommended it? Yes

ATI has long been known for video cards that delivered numerous features but only mediocre performance. In July 2000, this all changed when ATI released the Radeon chipset, a graphics crunching monster that could challenge nVidia's GeForce2 GTS. With the release of the All-In-Wonder Radeon, ATI now...
