All I ever Needed to Know I learned from my Radeon

byMK2K Dec 31, 2000
Pros Extraodinary Versitility
Cons Doesn't have a coxial out included.
Recommended it? Yes
If anyone on this site actually follows me to some degree and I am not merely shouting syllable after syllable into the electronic ether, hoping for a digital reply, than you probably know that I use electronic equipment. I mean use it? a lot. I run a short film review site, www.shortstuffcentral.com, which constantly requires that I capture stills from everything from DVD to VHS because the films that I review are so obscure they don?t have official sites nine times out of ten. I run my VCR into my computer and into my other television, so that I can watch a tape on two separate monitors. I run cable into my TV so that I can view what happens on two separate monitors. I use a Videonics MXPro (something Epinions really has to put an entry up for so I can write a glowing review) to do visuals for raves.

And all of this would be impossible were it not for my ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon.

Put simply, the All-in-Wonder Radeon is the evil maniacal twin of the standard video graphics card. It can handle 3D without batting an eyelash, render incredibly fast, take inputs from S-Video, Composite, and Coxial, and output Surround Sound. It comes with Ulead Video Studio 4, Merlin VR 1, and FilePlayer, which allows you to capture pictures from absolutely everything (have a problem capturing a still from you Matrix DVD for that fan site? simply copy the appropriate VOB file to your hard drive, run VobDec on it, and play it through FilePlayer, pressing the capture button at appropriate times). You name it, you can either get the ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon to do it or you can buy the converters at Radio Shack to do it. The ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon is true versatility.

Enjoy it.
