This phone has great reception and the speakerphone is really clear for both the caller and receiver. I can use the speakerphone and nobody can tell the difference. I have used Uniden phones for many years but have not been happy with the Uniden phone reception and quality in the last 5 years. I have owned 2.4 and 5.8 phones from Uniden. In my search for a new phone I saw great reviews for this one, now owned it for about 1 year and can confirm what others are experiencing, a great phone.
