ASUS Eee Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BU Netbook

I am very pleased with the Asus Eee PC 1005HA-PU17 Seashell Netbook. At first, I thought it would be weak, thin and toy-like like most of the netbooks I have come across while doing my research. Boy, was I surprised. What I like the most is the 250 GB hard drive, which I found to be missing in most of the lower priced netbooks,which usually provide only 160 GBs. Also, the presence of 802.11 b/g/n wi-fi capability was a nice touch as well. Having Bluetooth available was another added quality that won me over. Sure, you could find all of these features and more on another netbook, but not at this price. Asus is a smart, innovative company which I have experienced in the workmanship of their motherboards and other computer products that I have purchased and they have never let me down.

There are other features that I preferred as well, like Windows 7 Starter, ergonomic keyboard for exceptional comfort for a netbook and the remarkable battery life with the Super Hybrid Engine, which can provide up to 10.5 hours of operation. Fantastic. The LED Backlight of the 10.1 inch screen is very bright and easy on the eyes for hours of computing fun. And lastly, the silky shine of the blue shell is just stunning to me. I love it.

For my particular needs, this computer is more than satisfactory. I use it mostly for reading emails, downloading files, using social network sites, a fairly light workload for a netbook of this type. It is light and easily fits in a backpack or purse. However, if you're into heavy photo editing or HD video or graphic-intensive gaming, you will be a tad disappointed. For that type of work, a more powerful laptop with more memory and a better video card would be more sufficient.
