This cpu was one of AMD's earlier offerings for 64bit computing. Right now we have socket 939 and at least one other 64bit cpu made by AMD. Pros AMD64 2800: TWICE AS FAST when compared to P4 2.8 or Athlon 2800
Cons Double the price of a Sempron, requires 754 socket.
