Very portable, sleek wireless mouse

Pros Sleek, slim/portable, very easy to install
Cons Scroll wheel is too slick to initiate scroll easily.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Great mouse, especially if you can get it on sale.  If you don't care for the portability or the presenter features, get a cheaper mouse with a better scroll wheel.
Background
My friend does a lot of work on her notebook, and a mouse would vastly increase her productivity and help with the frustration of doing a lot of data manipulation with the notebook track pad.  She wanted to get a decent wireless mouse without shelling out too much money.  I got her the Kensington SlimBlade Presenter Mouse.

Appearance/Design
As you can tell from the picture, the mouse is very sleek and slim.  It is very easily pocketed, with no heavy pronounced curvature to the mouse.  It is almost essentially a rounded rectangle.  The silver accent that runs from the front and sides is actually a sliding cover.  Sliding it forward, reveals a button that pops out the wireless USB receiver.  Very cool.  At the bottom is a hole for the optics and a cover for the battery.

At the top are standard left and right buttons.  Between the buttons there is the scroll wheel/third button.  Around that is a button marked "Mode" for toggling between mouse and presenter mode.

Operation
The mouse installed very easily.  No hangups at all.  Motion was smooth and not jittery.  Mouse worked on a variety of surfaces easily.  Receiver acts as a power button as well.  If the USB receiver is plugged in and the computer is on, the mouse will automatically turn on.  This also can drain your battery if you're not using your mouse, so be sure to take the receiver out if your mouse is not in use.

The middle button/scroll wheel clicks easily, but does not scroll with the same ease.  The scroll wheel is painted with a smooth silver finish, so it is hard to start the scrolling with your finger.  You might have better response with a moist finger or a fingernail, but otherwise friction is hard to establish on the wheel to start the scrolling.  This is really my only gripe about the mouse.

Conclusion
I got the mouse relatively cheap as it was a special on buy.com.  So for the value, I got my friend a pretty nicely designed wireless mouse that is also pretty portable.  I wish the scroll wheel had a tackier finish, but it'll do.  Maybe I'll scruff up the surface a bit.
