The Bottom Line:  I absolutely recommend this toaster. If you are looking for a stylish, reasonably priced, 4-slice toaster - look no further
After becoming increasingly frustrated with our toaster oven (can't even remember the brand, but it wasn't an Oster) we decided to just go back to a good old fashioned toaster. In this price range, the Oster seemed to be a great deal. Good brand, features we needed/wanted. I love that it will warm bread, which works great for homemade bread or even warming toast.

Aside from my first attempt at making toast, this toaster has performed very well. Not knowing the settings, I set my first slice of bread at the halfway mark (4). The bread was almost completely charred. I can't imagine why anyone would even need the highest setting! Somewhere between a 2-3 worked the best for just regular toast. However the edges did seem to get a bit overdone as someone else has mentioned. Not sure if it was the bread or the machine.

With frozen waffles a staple for the kids the option to defrost before toasting is a real bonus. Prior to this toaster, too often we would end up with waffles that were overdone in some places and not done enough in others. The Oster seems to have solved the problem

Overall, I'm happy to be back to a regular toaster and although I haven't used the function yet, I can't wait to try out the bagel setting.

The stainless steel is very sleek looking and the toaster itself is long and fairly narrow. There are actually only two slots, but each holds two slices of bread or one oversize slice.
