Poor suction, attachments will not stay on board, poor quality product overall

I purchased this vacuum in June 2007, and have not been satisfied since I've owned it. The top to the canister was not included with the vacuum and this caused the dirt to collect in the HEPA filter. The suction is really poor and at times does not pick up at all. When I used the bear floor setting, it scatters the dirt all over the floor instead of picking it up.
