Green, Green -- My Post-it Flags are Green!

Pros green color is bold and eye-catching, clear sticky end lets one see beneath it
Cons green is a bit dark and not all writing inks will show well on it
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  These flags come in handy for marking a variety of projects.
I can't remember life before Post-it notes and flags. I'm surrounded by colorful sticky reminders … things to remember, shopping lists, and even flags to mark catalog pages, folders and documents. My latest use of the Post-it line are the Post-it Flags in Green.

Description

These Post-it flags come in a disposable dispenser. After the header is torn off the dispenser, the dispenser measures 2 3/4" x 1 5/8". The dispenser is designed to work so that when one flag is pulled out, part of the next flag pops up for easy grabbing. It works something like a tissue box.

The flags are a primary green color … think grass, money, or if you are in the holiday mood, Christmas green. Each flag has a green area that is 1" x 5/8" that is not sticky. The rest of the flag is a clear color with a sticky back. Each flag measures 1" wide x 1 3/4" long.

My Experiences

I have used a variety of Post-it flags for many purposes. If you plan to write on the colored end of this Post-it flag, do so with a bold black lettering. The green color is dark enough so that while ball point pen is visible, it is not easy to read at first glance.

These flags stick very well and are removable. They can be reused many times until the sticky part of the flag gathers too much dust or material that inhibits the stickiness factor. I have not had any problem with the sticky side lifting print from pages.

I like it that the colored portion sticks beyond the page to grab attention. If you need to color-code items, these flags come in a variety of colors. The clear portion makes it possible to read whatever printed matter is beneath the flag, too. A great bonus!

Currently, I am in charge of the company holiday function. These flags are coming in handy to reference pages in catalogs as I decide what decorations and possible party favors to purchase. For the first time we are giving thought to gifting each employee with a "goodie-bag" at the party. I like these green flags since the color reminds me of the holidays and gift buying.

Since these flags are green, they also remind me of the color of money. Some of our customers are "cash only" customers … and these flags sticking from the top of customer folders remind me of that fact.

The dispenser is so small that it easy slides into a pocket or carrying case/bag. I keep them in a drawer desk organizer so that I always know where they are.

Purchasing

We buy these Post-it flags from Staples for $2.45 each. The dispenser holds 50 flags.

Summary

I am an avowed Post-it advocate. These Post-it flags have come in handy, and I plan to continue buying them. Now back to planning that holiday function. I can see the green Post-it flags peeking from the catalog edges.

I hope you found this review useful.

Enjoy the day,
