Tape is one of those things that seems to disappear in my house. I buy a new roll of tape and I know where I put it but the minute I need it for something, it's gone. Just disappears. Nobody in the house claims to have taken it nor seen it. I just don't understand what happens to it!

So, back in December, I bought this six pack of Scotch brand Magic Tape by 3M. I figured with 6 rolls in the house, I had to be able to find at least one when I needed it. I put one roll in my kitchen drawer, another in my desk and another by the computer. The excess I stored away in a place only I know of. To date, I can still locate at least 4 of the rolls of tape so maybe this tactic is working, at least for a while!!!

Details
This pack of Scotch tape came bound together in a green cardboard box with cellophane wrapping around it. There were six rolls of tape, each in their own dispenser. The tape in the dispenser is ? inch wide. Each roll has 650 inches of tape (or about 18 yards).

The dispenser is made of a hard, clear plastic. It comes together but can be separated into two halves if you want to buy replacement rolls of tape to put into the dispensers. On one side of the dispenser is a paper label with the Scotch brand name and the familiar Scotch patterned label in green and black.

The tape in the dispenser is a matte finish and the Scotch box claims it to be invisible. It is in fact, very hard to see when used on paper especially patterned paper such as gift wrap. The box also claims that you can write on this tape with pen, pencil and markers. I have tried this and found that it is true and thus you can use it to label items that you might otherwise not have a label for. The only thing I would suggest is that if you use markers, you should use the permanent type or else it may smear or wipe off completely.

My experiences
I use tape for lots of things around the house. I bought this tape back in December specifically for gift wrapping and it did a great job of that. The tape is easy to start since there is a tab that shows where the roll begins and it is easy to pull to start it. Once started, the end of the tape rests on the top of the dispenser, ready for the next use. You can simply pull the amount of tape you need and tear it against the ridged edge of the dispenser. The ridged edge helps that tape tear straight and completely across.

I have also used this tape to fix ripped papers of mine or my daughter's. It is good to use when an envelope doesn't seem like it is going to stick well enough and you don't want the contents to spill out in the mail. It basically works very well on any paper project my daughter dreams up, and there are lots of those!

I also like to use these on top of my plastic ware that I'm storing leftovers in. Whether it is going into the refrigerator or the freezer, I put a piece of Scotch tape on the top of the container and then I use my Sharpie Marker to label the contents of the container. This way, I can know at a glance what is inside the container and I don't have to open it to find out.

Scotch tape has so many uses and this is one of the best tapes that I have found. It comes off of the roll easily and it tears neat and straight. It does not seem to get wrinkled up as much as other tapes that I have used in the past. And, best of all, it really sticks well!

Recommendations
I would definitely recommend this tape. I know that you can purchase it in single rolls as well as this handy 6 pack. This 6 pack has been great for my house because it has allowed me the chance of actually finding a roll of tape. Assuming I can find each roll until it is gone, this tape will last me a long time because it is a lot of tape!!
