all-in-one printer, color copies, fast printing speeds
Cons
bulky but is expected since it's a scanner to
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
it's a good printer/scanner/copier for the price, prints/scans/copies very fast with clean crisp resoultion. a very good buy if you in the market for a multi-function printer.
i recently built a new computer for myself, and upgrading my OS, but in the process i lost my old HP printer and my old snap scan flat bed scanner. so i put on my boots and hunted down the best printer for my price. i came across a number of brands from cannon, to HP, but i settles on the Lexmark x75 prin trio. i picked this printer because it had all the features that i was looking for, Scanner/printer/copier as a reasonable price.
The lexmark x75 prin trio specs are as follows:
printer
duel head thermal ink-jet
drop size of 7 picoliter(smaller is better)

(COLOR)up to 2400x1200 dpi
Accu-feed paper handling
scanner
CIS scan technology
scanning resoultion 600x1200
surface scan area 8.5 x 11.7

Basic info
i tested this printer on a amd anthlon xp 2400+ with 512 ram, ati all-in-wonder video card running windows xp home
the printer tested and works perfectly.
since it runs on xp, it should also run on win2k.
make sure you have a free usb port, cause thats the only way i've seen this printer hook up to a computer. it pretty much takes all kinda of sizes of paper..
and finally, the printer comes with software you install yo make 1 touch scans and copies... comes in very handy when you dont want to open up programs and such.
since i've been using this scanner, i've never see the paper jam, the paper always going in straight provided you set the paper guide to the width of the paper =]
a little FYI if you need more infomation then i listed here.. check out this http://www.lexmark.com/US/printrio/content.html
