I would buy another, however....
Pros
Very east to use, great price, decent scan speed/quality.
Cons
Setup problems, mediocre print speed.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
If you want a cheap but useable printer/scanner and want to get a new USB 2.0 card, go for it!
Lexmark didn't solve my setup problems, although I found a solution. I have two computers that I built, and I have used many other USB devices without problems. When I hooked this bad boy up, WinXP found it right away, installed everything, and everything seemed ok. When it tried to do the first test print, the Lexmark software and the printer both locked up. I terminated the software, rebooted and tried again. Same thing. I did this several times. After emailing Lexmark and trying their ideas, I thought, just out of curiosity, maybe if I got a new USB 2.0 card, it might work all right. Didn't seem like that should be the problem, but it worked. It works great now. I got a Belkin 2 port USB 2.0 card from Wal-Mart for $29.99, and now it works. Shame-shame Lexmark.
Other than this setup problem, I like it very much. The software is kind of annoying, but it has some great features and is very usable.
I highly recommend it, but keep it in mind you may need a new USB card. Happy scanning/printing!
