I received this cleaner as a gift when I moved to my new apartment. Works beautifully.
When trying to get into tighter spots (under chairs, etc) it bends backward pretty far before lifting off the floor. Swivels very easily.

Worst vacuum I've ever owned!
I agree with anyone that stated this vacuum clogs easy and you do have to clean it out every time you vacuum, sometimes before you are even done with the house! BELT BROKE ALREADY
I picked up this vacuum at Walmart a few weeks ago -- figured for $50 how could I go wrong. I just needed something to vacuum a 1 bedroom apartment.
