The Bottom Line:
i recommend this product because it is a great machine with great features & 7 height adjustments... plus it won't break the bank
This is a first because i have never owned a bagless vacuum cleaner. I bought this machine as a precursor to a Dyson because i didn't feel like plunking down 549.00 for a Dyson Absolute Animal and risking hating the machine. Well i love this vacuum!
I recently had shag carpet installed and my Oreck (a good machine) would not handle it because it did not have a height adjuster. I also wanted bagless for carpet shedding and my issues with animal hair. So I bought the Bissell CleanviewII at a local hardware store for 79.99 and for once I do not feel ripped off from buying a vacuum.
The hose on the machine is long enough for quick cleanups that are within 6 feet or less(if you use your attachments frequently buy a canister). The attachments are adequate for quick cleanups and the "Turbobrush" is good for steps and furniture. The roller brush bristles are stiff and whisk away pet hair and dirt without hesitation (I was astounded to see what my Oreck was leaving behind in my older area rugs). The filters are easy enough to disassemble and clean, you just need a little common sense. I just wish the handle was a little longer because I am a taller dude.
Any vacuum is going to require periodic maintenance, so don't let the other reviews dissuade you from buying this machine because it needs cleaning from time to time. This is an excellent machine for the money and i promise you won't be disappointed!!!!!
