My Alcoholic boyfriend watched this movie with me.
This Epinion is about the movie 28 days, and how it has affected my relationship with my alcoholic fiance.
28 days had been a movie on the "want to see" list the my boyfriend and I make. I didn't think about the long-term effects of this movie on our relationship, until about half way...

28 Days - Pretty Darn Right On!
I was reluctant to see this movie initially. When I read the reviews, saw the excerpts on talk shows, and previews at theatres, it turned me off. Something about making fun of a fatal illness that destroys families, health, careers, self-esteem, emotional, mental and spiritual growth, just didn't... Read full review »
Three to see... absolutely! ~Part 3~
Was 28 Days better than 'Where the Heart Is?' Yes and no. Let me say that it was different...not as sappy as I expected, which turns out to be a good thing. I also need to note that this night has been a great break for me... Need a stress relief? Rent three really great movies. My only sad point... Read full review »
Have you ever had the worst day of your life? It gets worse.
My Opinion
I just wanted to watch a good movie, I had been at work for nine hours and hadn?t gotten a minute of sleep the night before. Who hasn?t been in this spot, thinking ?I just want a good movie? Lord knows I have many a time.
So...in my sleepless haze I took 28 Days knowing...

Is 28 Days Enough Time To Become Sober For Life?
I love Sandra Bullock. I think she's beautiful and funny and she is one of my favourite actresses. I also think that Viggo Mortensen is H-O-T. I mean, he is one of the people on my 'list' (if you have a list, you know what I mean) that I would do anything to just stand next to for five minutes... Read full review »
I think I may have wet myself!!
First off, is this for you?
This is a funny movie and I stress funny. If you want a good laugh and an insiders look on alcoholism this might be a good one for you. Granted, it isn't the best view of an alcoholic, it does show many aspects that you see in real life.
On to the movie.....

28 Days = 104 minutes of boredom
I have really liked Sandra Bullock's movies for the most part, I think she is a fine actress. But this movie left me sorely disappointed and wondering why she agreed to take it on.
She plays the part of a party girl (Gwen) who is always drunk. She and her boyfriend party and drink all the...

28 Days is Worth 28 Minutes of Watching
I just watched the movie, ?28 Days? and must say that I enjoyed it. I was not bowled over by the movie; I was not touched by the movie; I merely ?enjoyed? it.
If anyone has had a loved one that has been addicted to alcohol, drugs, gambling or sex, this movie brings back flashbacks of...

Emotional... Good Or Bad?
I saw this movie tonight for the first time. I laughed, and I cried, and then I cried some more...This was one of the best and the worst movies I have ever seen. Well written, well directed, and probably one of the most heart breaking movies I have chosen to see.
There were only about 6...

One of Sandra Bullock's best films
Because 28 Days is a film that I really, really love, I was somewhat surprised to see what mixed reviews it had got on Epinions. Among the cons I've seen listed quite frequently are a slow pace, not fitting into a definable genre (comedy or serious), and weak plot. I really can't say that I found... Read full review »

28 Days - Dvd
New York City newspaper reporter Gwen Cummings (Sandra Bullock) likes to party. But at her sister Lily's (Elizabeth Perkins) wedding, she parties a little too much, makes a spectacle of herself, and ends up driving a commandeered limousine into a neighbor's front porch. In lieu of prison, Gwen is sent to a rehabilitation program at Serenity Glen, where cell phones are banned and patients chant for inspiration. Surrounded by other addicts, Gwen finds herself dealing with personal issues she has denied for years. Eventually, she realizes that in living under a cloud of alcohol, she wasn't truly living. Dapper Brit Dominic West plays Jasper, Gwen's charming partner in love and partying, and Viggo Mortensen appears as her potential love interest, Eddie Boone, a professional baseball player with an addiction to booze and women. Betty Thomas, known more for her work directing comedies (THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE, PRIVATE PARTS), guides 28 DAYS with the hand of an assured dramatist. Perennial good girl Bullock is surpr
