Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster

The Bottom Line:
This is an easy to clean 4 slice toaster that has a cool touch side panel.
I have burnt out more toasters in the past 23 years than I care to name. I finally found one that lives up to the use this family puts a toaster through. Finding a toaster that will do more than 2 slices and is reasonably priced is not always the easiest to do but the Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster is it!
The cool touch sides make this ideal if you have younger children in the house so you do not have to worry that they will touch the shiny sides and get burned. It does get a little warm to the touch and as always the insides are hot but otherwise it is a great feature with a toaster.
There are dials on the front of either half which is used to dial how light or dark you want what you are toasting. There is also a button on the top of the dial to cancel what is being toasted and pop it up. That makes it nice if you happen to notice what you are toasting is getting too done for your liking.
The slots for toast are wide enough to accommodate a bagel and even a croissant. They will also do well for very thing toast or even a pancake and yes, my children have toasted frozen pancakes in the toaster! When they are in a hurry to get out the door for school they will grab a frozen pancake or french toast on some mornings and pop it in the toaster.
The crumb catcher is easy to clean on the bottom of the toaster. Just snap it out, clean and snap it back in. What could be easier.
Our toaster usually has a daily workout so I have to say this one has held up for the past year to the use. It was $30.00 from Walmart on sale. Well worth the price and very durable.
