When my LR2 Grows up he is going to be a Range Rover
Pros
zippy, fun, great interior, classy, safe, wears well
Cons
15 miles to the gallon city driving, small cargo
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
very reliable and classy car, makes me smile every time I drive it.
The LR2 is a fun ride. I drove a minivan before hand and was desperate for something more “sexy” but with the sturdiness of a family SUV. This car fit the deal for me. To me it is like a mini-Range Rover with the front looking like the new RR.
If you are looking for a lot of room, I would not recommend it, it is a small car. With my 2 children in the car, we can squeeze 1 small adult in the back and then we are maxed out.
The car handles really well, I am a bit of a speedy driver and find that it is really zippy, taking off from traffic lights, stops nicely, not a heavy car to stop. It hugs the road nicely, especially when it rains, visibility it amazing.
All in all I love my LR2. Fuel efficiency is abysmal and for this reason alone when it come times to buy another car, this will not be on my list. Since I don’t have much of a commute, I am lucky with my fuel budget, but if you drive a lot, it guzzles fuel.
We got a flat tire and got an alert on the dashboard before we could feel it in the steering, which was really cool and a great safety feature.
My LR2 is almost 3 years old now and quite honestly it feels like a brand new car. I plan on keeping it for at least another 5 years and hopefully by then they fix the fuel efficiency with 15 miles to the gallon – gulp.
