2005 Honda Accord

The Accord is Hondas midsize sedan and coupe, which was redesigned for the 2003 model year with distinctive styling to differentiate the sedan and the coupe. The Accord was first sold in the U.S. in 1976 as a compact car and has grown larger and more luxurious, moving into the midsize category in 1998.

Pros Value, gas mileage, room, ergonomics and thoughtful extras.
Cons Stiff ride, poor placement of one of the stereo controls.
Recommended it? Yes

For less than $18,000 the Honda Accord LX provides a roomy and reasonably comfortable (although stiff) ride.
