Love the Truck ... having issues now any answers to this??

Pros Love the room, Gas mileage, and overall off-road performance
Cons engine light stays on, fuel cap light comes on
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Overall love what this truck provides versus other Mid-sizes. Just frustrated with constant check engine light.
I own a 05' GMC SLE 3.5L Crew Cab with Off-road and tow packages.

First off I love this truck. It has more capabilities than the majority of all the mid-size trucks at a far better price comparison. Definately get your bang for the buck!

Off Road package is superb and the 4-wheel drive comes through right when you need it at a push of a button.

The 4-door crew cab offers plenty of room that a 6'2" person can sit comfortably in the back.

Current repairs to date have been, new tires all around x2 from poor alignments, new tie rod ends, fuel cap, horn with wiring harness, Tow light receptacle wiring harness, and new fog light wiring harnesses.

My main and only issue so far is that my Check engine light stays on and my Check fuel cap indicator comes on after being below half a tank. The Codes when checked read check Evac Sensor and also for the Code for the Manufactures service agreement for the Valve seals. Funny thing is that the GM dealership and mechanics will tell you that the Evac Sensor will trip off the check engine light and mistake the code to read for the Valve Seals.

Funny thing is my best friend owns the equivalent '05 Chevy Colorado with the same package I have and has the same issues.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem? Because so far we have replaced the Gas cap, and he has replaced the Evac Sensor and are getting the same issues.

**Rumor has it that possibly this is a fuel filler neck problem creating the issue. If this is indeed fact please pass on the knowledge.

Both of us are getting tired of spending money that doesn't rectify the issue.

Please email Freespirtcanyon@yahoo.com for any maintenance leads about the above issue described. Thanks.
